Investment Compliance & Risk Analyst

The main purpose of the role is to ensure client investment funds achieve continued compliance with all applicable overarching regulations with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) handbooks.

The Investment Compliance & Risk Analyst will focus on assessing and monitoring various investment and non-investment risks, including daily monitoring of investment exception reports and analysing investment activities, including liquidity levels relative to legal/policy requirements and other parameters. Investment compliance and risk key areas within this role will focus on:

  • Monitoring the Funds – Investment and Borrowing limits
  • Portfolio liquidity levels and stress testing
  • Communication with the internal business and key stakeholders
  • Risk and error incident reporting and register management

To be considered for this role, candidates must be highly numerate and have a proven ability to analyse data sets and identify and explain results.  Proficiency in Microsoft is necessary, specifically Excel and Word.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as are interpersonal skills to build trusting working relationships.  The candidate must be a committed team player and be able to work according to tight deadlines.  A focus on results with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility is also required.

Candidates with a Degree in Business, Finance or Mathematics or a general understanding of investments within the Financial Services Industry are of particular interest.
